KBS Core Values

KBS Core Values –

Registered Behavior Technician helping to improve student's social skills
  • Efficiency means achieving maximum productivity with minimum wasted effort or expense; working in a well-organized and competent way. Not only do we demonstrate efficiency throughout our professional tasks, but we also assist clients in demonstrating efficiency throughout responding to various life skills. While we focus on details, make decisions, and prioritize tasks, we demonstrate efficient time management.

  • Effective means we are successful in producing a desired result; clinically significant outcomes make meaningful changes to improve quality of life. By utilizing the science of applied behavior analysis, we are helping clients, their families, other stakeholders, colleagues and ourselves reach goals.

  • Community is cultivating sustained partnerships; to disseminate the science of human behavior to the public at large, through the use of easy-to-understand explanations. Our goal is to promote behavior analysis in a positive and accurate light. We are equitable, in our actions, inclusive, accessible, non-judgmental, and collaborative; communities are built when we truly engage with each other, work to achieve mutual understanding, and share experiences together.

  • Appreciating and being sensitive to the difficulty of others and what they may be experiencing through our expressions of kindness, caring, and helpfulness creates greater trust and learning for all involved. We value relationships established with transparency, mutual respect, and integrity. We demonstrate compassion by being humble, empathetic, non-judgmental, taking action to help, and perspective-taking.

  • Autonomy is the ability to act and decide for oneself how to live one's life, intuitively prioritize, hold self-accountable, and demonstrate self-governance. Expressing respect for clients' autonomy means acknowledging an individual's right to develop their personality and interests, express hopes and dreams, and make choices. We acknowledge individual differences, needs, and preferences regarding treatment options.
